Transformation from a sticker to a hand painting

This is one of my treasures I found recently. I loved the solid wood tray but I didn't like the sticker picture on it. I decided to sand the picture off and repaint it back on by hand. Now it is a hand painted scene.

Shabby Chic Inspiratins and many new items in my booth.

I am really starting to accumulate some great items for my Shabby Chic Inspirations booth. I really enjoy decorating. This is a creative decorating outlet for me. I will decorate any chance I get and I love all styles. Since my booth is in an Antique Mall I try to stick with original, vintage and antiques pieces. When I bring furniture home, I really try to think of a way I could make it an original piece. I want it to look like something you will not find anywhere else. My 6x6 booth is quite challenging to decorate because of the small space. I like everything to have a cohesive look with all the items complementing each other. I don't want it to look like things were just put in there to sell.

Last week my booth looked like this.

A whole new look and a complete change for this weeks Shabby Chic Inspirations booth.
Thank you everyone for e-mailing me about the items in my booth.  I am unable to respond back to some e-mails.  Please include your e-mail address with your questions and I will be more than happy to answer your questions.
If I have not gotten back to you by now, please e-mail me again.
Thanks so much.

My newest addition to my Antique Booth "Shabby Chic Inspirations"

Kelly over at Kellys Korners is hosting Show us your life- Show us what you make.  I alter furniture to make it more decorative.  This is just one of many.  Go to Shabby Chic Inspirations to see much more.  Today I am adding this cottage style chest in my Antique booth. I just got done changing its look from a painted country red and blue dresser to a pretty cottage shabby chic chest. This dresser stood out to me because I really liked the top row of smaller drawers. It reminded me of a small dining room serving table and the smaller drawers could be used for utensils. I replaced the wooden knobs with antique brass knobs. I added the wood back with a wooden floral appliqué and painted it in heirloom white.
Here are some before and after pictures.   For my home page, Family American Style.

Before and After Shabby Chic Inspiration photo.

Saturday I was out hunting for those special items I could put in my Shabby Chic Inspirations booth. I came across this wonderful little kitchenette table. It was already painted black so all I had to do was touch it up.

I picked these Ethan Allen chairs up a couple of years ago at an Antique Mall. I used them for a while in my Cottage but now that I don't need them I thought they might look great with this black table.

As I was looking at the table I felt it needed something. I added on of my hand painted flower cluster to the center in hopes it would add that special little something you would not find anywhere else.

A Shabby Chic Transformation

Over the weekend I came across this great little table. It was all scratched up and looked very tired. I gave it a face lift by sanding the old varnish off the two top surfaces only to reveal this wonderful wood grain. I painted the rest heirloom white. Here are some before and after pictures.
It had this wonderful carved flower detail on the front that I thought it looked great in its natural finish.
Here is another transformation. I picked up this brass easel.  It was nice in brass but it didn't look like a shabby chic inspired item.  All I had to do was paint it white and it transformed into the very ornate shabby chic stand.
Yesterday I went to my booth and loaded it up with all my great finds I found over the weekend.
Crystal flower candle holders
Porcelain blue and white tea pot wall decoration.
Antique Italian painted pictures in metal frames
If your in the area of Julington Creek stop by Sugar Bears Antique Mall.  My booth number is 34.

New Found Treasures for my Shabby Chic Inspirations Booth

Today I was out bright and early looking for some treasures so I could put in my Shabby Chic Inspirations booth. Here is what I found.  I want to paint three items in this group. First item is the end table, the merior and the wood arched shelves.  When I have them completed I will post the results.
Crystal Flower Candle Holders
Glass Flowers
I have not started up an Etsy account yet only because the items are lasting only a couple of days in my booth. I would hate to miss lead anyone in thinking the item is available only to find that it have been purchased out of the Mall. If you are in the area of Julington Creek please stop by Sugar Bears Antique Mall and my booth number is 34. Or you could e-mail me if you are interested in something and you wish to have it shipped. I will check on it availability and get back to you.
